Mountains, lakes and wild waters: summer activities in Kramsach and surroundings
Of course, tourists come from near and far to see the mountains, which Tyrol is so famous for. However, the region around Kramsach has a lot more to offer: it is no coincidence that the village is referred to as the Tiroler Seendorf (Tyrolean lake village). There are several appealing bathing opportunities only a few miles away: Reintalersee, Krummsee, Berglsteinersee or Zireiner See, just to name a few. These also include the Brandenburger Ache, a wild river with the clearest water you have ever seen and idyllic bathing areas directly in Kramsach or further upstream – e.g. in the Tiefenbachklamm directly behind Kramsach or the Kaiserklamm in the Brandenbergtal.
For further sportive activities, the Outdoorcenter Kramsach and Sport Ossi are your first choice. There are a wide variety of offers, such as canyoning, white-water swimming, tubing, archery, slacklining, kayaking and horse riding. A natural high ropes course complements the offer of leisure activities, and will thrill climbing fans of all ages. Feel free to contact us – we are happy to give you tips and make recommendations so that you can have a perfect active holiday.
Kramsach in summer: nature meets culture
Summer in Kramsach – that means alpine nature and traditional culture. Explore the lovely Rofangebirge or the Brandenbergtal or else visit Rattenberg, the smallest municipality in Austria, which boasts impressive medieval flair. We recommend our guests to acquire the Alpbach Seenland Card. It allows you to take part in a variety of summer activities in our Tyrolean region at a discount or for free, such as visiting the Tiroler Bauernhöfe-Museum (Tyrolean Museum of Farms), which we warmly recommend.
